What does Tyler Reddick have that has enabled him, even on the most unpredictable tracks to win the first three races of the season? Watch the above and see what his crew chief says.
No. 45 Crew Chief Billy Scott says they will “race every race hard!” and I expect you’ll see that from Reddick and his team this weekend.
I can be quoted as saying Reddick wouldn’t likely win the third race in a row but he did. So, I sure as heck am not going to count him out on the fourth as he takes on Phoenix Raceway this weekend.
Tyler Reddick’s comments leading into the Phoenix race make you think it is possible!
But “possible” isn’t the same as probable right?
Before you bet on Reddick winning again this weekend, consider the racing history of Phoenix Raceway in Cup. Last-lap passes, a record of overtimes and blink-of-an-eye margin of victories make you think again.
Add to the last-lap passes, the margin of victory, the overtimes the fact that at Phoenix in Cup we get a different winner almost every time.
Meanwhile, with Reddick’s three race wins in a row the NASCAR Cup point spread is crazy, like the Grand Canyon, and it’s so early in the season:
Reddick, Scott, and the No. 45 team have every chance in the world to win this weekend. But you can’t win every weekend (can you?) and even his 23XI teammate Bubba Wallace and his co-team owner and driver for Joe Gibbs Racing Denny Hamlin, who love him, are poised to take it from him this week..as is the rest of the field.
Interesting thoughts above, we’ll have to see what plays out!
